Fall

This video was part of the same installation as was Veils in Motion; this time we took the performance to the Viaduct itself. Some of the passersby were not very welcoming, so we made a performance out of that, too. The Viaduct's suicide barrier is lauded by some as an architectural beauty, but panned by others as a six million dollar fence constructed by the city at the same time that the provincial government was cutting funding to mental health. I shot and edited the footage and mixed the sound. This video was also projected on the walls of the installation, as visitors were encouraged to interact with the Veil sculpture we had constructed, which was made of a similar material to that in which the dancer in this video is shrouded.
